My personal style really isn't really all that simple, it's composed of many different styles and pieces. One day I might dress in a very girly top and a high-waisted skirt, the other I'll dress in a scruffy white oversized T-shirt and leather leggings. It is about feeling with me, not so much about the look. I'm very fond of my style nowadays and I see it as a result of years of struggling to find it (ask any of my friends about my awful do's. I've been an Emo, Hip-Hopper, Skater, Punk-Rocker, you name it) and I think my style right now is very "me". :)
But still I've realized that there are people who have influenced my style greatly.
For some time now, I've wanted to post something about the lovely women who have had the biggest influence on my personal style. There are many of them. It would be easy to say someone like Audrey Hepburn has made the biggest affect on me, I guess that would be the more "classy" thing to do aswell.
But the truth is that though Audrey has been an influence on my style (Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of my favorite movies, I watch it once a month) I can't say she has been the BIGGEST one.
The biggest influence on my style has come from... Rachel Bilson.
I've always adored her style.
The reason for this is that The O.C (the show she starred in) aired at an important time for me. I think I was about 11 when I started watching the show and that is when my style started shaping itself up. I'm mad about Rachel's style even after all this time. I like how she plays around with her style alot (see where I'm going with this?). She can be very boho-chic, glamorous or classy in her choice of clothing. Also, I love it how she wears her Wayfarers ALL THE TIME. Just google some pictures of her, she loves her Ray-Bans!
